SCBA TOURNAMENT RULES

1. ALL STATE, FEDERAL, AND LOCAL LAWS SHALL APPLY AT ALL TIMES. FIVE (5) FISH LIMIT PER TEAM IN ALL TOURNAMENTS ALL FISH MUST BE 14" INCHES IN LENGTH WITH MOUTH CLOSED AND TAIL PINCHED.

2. ONLY LARGEMOUTH AND KENTUCKY BASS ARE ALLOWED BY CASTING ARTIFICIAL LURES (NO LIVE BAIT) IN BOAT DURING CLUB TOURNAMENTS. ALL FISHING MUST BE DONE FROM A BOAT.

3. EACH TEAM MUST SIGN IN AND OUT AT THE LAUNCH SITE ON TOURNAMENT DAYS. THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR OR A DIRECTOR MUST BE NOTIFIED IN WRITNG WITHIN 15 MINUTES AFTER WEIGHT-IN OF ANY INFRACTIONS NOTED BY ANY MEMBER DURING THE TOURNAMENT. THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR WILL MAKE THE FINAL DECISION IN ALL MATTERS CONCERNING THE TOURNAMENTS.

4. SIGN UP FOR THE TOURNAMENTS IS ON TUESDAY BEFOR THE TOURNAMENT. LATE SIGN UP WILL BE ACCEPTED UNTIL 5PM ON FRIDAY BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT. NO PARTIAL ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED AT ENTRY LOCATIONS, FULL ENTRY FEE MUST BE SUBMITTED.THERE WILL BE NO OFF LIMITS PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT EXCEPT FOR THE CLASSIC. WEIGH-IN WILL BE AT 3pm, UNLESS OTHERWISE STATED BY THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR PRIOR TO THE START OF THE TOURNAMENT.

5. A LATE PENALTY OF 1lb WILL BE DEDUCTED FOR EACH MINUTE LATE UP TO 15 MINUTES. THEN YOUR TEAM IS DISQUALIFIED.1/2 POUND PENALTY WILL BE DEDUCTED FOR EACH DEAD FISH. NO WHITE GILL FISH WILL BE WEIGHTED. A ONE (1) POUND PENALTY FOR EACH SHORT FISH WILL BE DEDUCTED FROM YOUR TOTAL WEIGHT, PLUS THE LOSS OF THE SHORT FISH.

6. EACH PERSON IS REQUIRED TO WEAR A U.S. COAST GUARD APPROVED LIFE JACKET AT ALL TIMES WHEN THE VESSEL IS ON PLANE.

7. FISHING IS PERMITTED ANY PLACE ON THE DESIGNATED LAKE EXCEPT WITHIN 50 YARDS OF ANOTHER BOAT THAT IS ANCHORED OR TIED. EACH ANGLER IS CAUTIONED TO USE GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP AND NOT CROWD ANOTHER COMPETITOR.

8. TEAM PARTNERS ARE CHOSEN FOR THE YEAR, ANY CHANGES IN PARTNERS WILL HAVE TO BE APPROVED BY THE BOARD. PARENTS FISHING WITH A CHILD UNDER 17 YEARS OLD AS THEIR PARTNER AND HAVING MORE THAN ONE CHILD UNDER 17 MAY ROTATE BETWEEN THEM AS PARTNERS BUT CANNOT HAVE MORE THAN ONE PARTNER PER TOURNAMENT.

9. IF YOU ARE ON THE WAY TO THE WEIGH-IN AND HIT SOMETHING OR HAVE MECHANICAL PROBLEMS ETC. YOU MAY GET IN ANOTHER BOAT AND TAKE FISH TO THE WEIGH-IN BY THE DESIGNATED WEIGH-IN TIME.

10. THERE WILL BE EIGHT (8) TOURNAMENTS FOR THE YEAR. ONLY THE TOP SIX (6) WILL BE COUNTED FOR THE YEARLY STANDINGS TO QUALIFY FOR THE CLASSIC, YOU MUST FISH OR PAY FOR ALL EIGHT TOURNAMENTS AND PARTICIPATE IN THREE (3) COMMUNITY FUNCTIONS (EVENTS) OR FINISH IN THE TOP FIFTEEN (15) OF THE YEARLY STANDINGS. A COMMUNITY FUNCTION IS ANY EVENT THAT QUALIFIES AS DECIDED BY THE BOARD. A FUNTION MUST BE ATTENDED TO BE COUNTED TOWARD YEAR END STANDINGS. YEARLY STANDINGS FIGURED BY THE POINTS SYSTEM.

11. THE TOP TWO TEAMS THAT HAVE ENTERED 6 OF THE 8 EVENTS, AND PARTICIPATED IN 3 OF THE 5 COMMUNITY FUNCTIONS THAT ARE NOT IN THE TOP 15 AT YEAR END STANDINGS, MAY QUALIFY FOR THE NORRIS ASKEW CHAMPIONSHIP AS "WILDCARDS".

12. THE ENTRY FEE FOR EACH EVENT IS $60 PER TEAM, OR $40 IF YOU FISH AS AN INDIVUAL OR WITH A MINOR CHILD. PAYBACK IS 90%. $5 OF EACH PARTICIPANTS ENTRY IS HELD OUT FOR NORRIS ASKEW CHAMPIONSHIP AND $5 IS HELD OUT FOR BIG BASS POT. (3) PLACES WILL BE PAID UP TO 29 TEAMS ENTERED, AND (4) WILL BE PAID WITH 30 OR MORE ENTRIES. BIG BASS WILL PAY TWO PLACES EACH EVENT. THERE IS AN ADDITONAL 100% PAYBACK SIDE POT OF $40 PER TEAM THAT WILL PAY BACK (3) PLACES TO THE ONES ENTERED.

13. THE COMMUNITY FUNCTIONS REFERENCED TO ABOVE ARE (A) WORKING THE LOGANSPORT SAND BASS EVENT, (B) WORKING THE TAKE A KID FISHING EVENT, (C) SELLING OF $100 RAFFLE TICKETS PER MEMBER/ $200 PER TEAM, (D) SELLING ADDITONAL $400 RAFFLE TICKETS TO BENEFIT CLUB (E) WORKING THE STANLEY BURGAY MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT.

14. AN INDEMNITY/MEMBERSHIP FORM MUST BE FILLED OUT COMPLETELY AND TURNED IN TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR MEMBERSHIP.
